There is an incredible amount of open source out there, and almost none of it is hard to use once you find it. Finding it is the hard part. Repo Recommender is my attempt to fix that: tell it what you want to add to your site, and it points you at the projects that actually do it, with a short reason each one fits and a note on how to wire it in.
It grew out of RepoRadar.io, which placed 2nd out of 302 teams at the Generative UI Global Hackathon. RepoRadar was built fast, under hackathon pressure. This one is built the disciplined way, in the open, with Claude Code. Every major step is written up in the lesson book, so you can see exactly how it was made, not just that it works.
I am Christo. I also build letsgochristo.com, blogcast.io, and letsgetlocalgems.com. The examples on the home page are real gaps on those sites.
If this is useful to you, or you want help adding open source to your own site (or someone else's), say hi on the contact page.
